Commercial AV systems in Austin, Texas
Reliable, easy-to-use AV environments, from conference rooms to large-scale spaces. Clear audio, clean video, intuitive control, plus the PA and distributed communications that reach every space beyond the room.
What we install
- Conference room AV. Meeting rooms with simple, dependable control.
- Enterprise platforms. Scalable deployments on proven hardware and software.
- Long-term supportability. Built for consistency, serviceability, and expansion.
- PA and distributed audio. Facility and campus paging, zoned so the right space hears the right message.
AV that still works in year three
Most AV problems are not installation problems. They are supportability problems that arrive later.
Designed to be serviced
Long-term supportability means consistent hardware choices, documented configuration, and room to expand. A room nobody can service becomes a room nobody uses.
One control experience
Meeting rooms fail when every room works differently. Consistency across rooms is what makes AV get used rather than avoided.
PA is part of the same design
Paging and distributed audio are designed with the AV and security systems rather than bolted on beside them. Intercom and door stations tie into access control; bell and schedule integration covers education and shift environments.
The infrastructure underneath
AV rides on the structured cabling and network we install, so bandwidth, pathways, and power are sized for it up front.
Common questions
Do you install AV as well as security, or is it a separate contractor?
The same company. Audio visual is one of AK Technologies service lines alongside access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and cabling, and we hire specifically for it. Our Lead and Senior AV Technician roles exist because AV is a growing service line, not a sideline.
Can you do campus-wide paging and intercom?
Yes. Facility and campus paging carries announcements across buildings, corridors, and outdoor areas, with zoned distributed audio so separate zones are addressed independently. Intercom and door stations tie into access control, and bell and schedule integration covers education and shift environments.
What makes commercial AV different from a conference room kit?
Supportability and consistency. Commercial deployments are designed so rooms behave the same way, configuration is documented, and the system can be expanded and serviced years later rather than replaced.
Do you work with school districts and public entities on AV?
Yes. Eligible entities buy under Texas DIR cooperative contract DIR-CPO-6165, and AK Technologies has delivered distributed communications work for Texas public-sector clients.
Where we work
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, San Marcos, and commercial sites across Central Texas. Eligible public entities can buy under Texas DIR contract DIR-CPO-6165.
