Service, repair and small projects

AK Technologies has a dedicated service department with its own technicians for the work that keeps a building running: repairs, adds, moves and changes, small installs, and inspections. No job too small.

Austin since 1992 Texas DPS license B10540201 DIR contract DIR-CPO-6165

What the service team handles

  • Service calls and repairs. A reader that will not read, a camera that went dark, a gate that will not close, or a speaker that stopped working.
  • Adds, moves and changes. One more door or camera, a moved reader or display, or a few new cable drops after a remodel.
  • Small installs. A single door, a handful of cameras, or one conference room.
  • Scheduled maintenance. Regular visits that keep systems working instead of waiting for them to fail.
  • Inspections and testing. Checks that devices, panels, and recording still do what they should.

Systems we service

The service department works on the same systems we install: access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, Audio Visual (AV), public address (PA) and paging, gates, turnstiles, and structured cabling.

How to ask for service

Call (512) 522-9137 or send the request form and choose Service call or repair. Tell us the site, the system, and what is wrong.

Common questions

Do you take small jobs?

Yes. No job is too small. One reader that will not read, one camera that went dark, or a few new cable drops all go to the same service department that handles larger work.

What counts as a service call?

A repair or a fix to something that is already installed: a door that will not release, a camera that is offline, a gate that will not close, or audio that cut out. Tell us what stopped working and where.

What are adds, moves, and changes?

Small changes to a working system: adding a door or a camera, moving a reader or a display, re-pointing a camera, or adding cable drops when a space is rearranged.

Do you inspect and test systems?

Yes. Inspection and testing confirm that devices, panels, and recording still work the way they should, and turn up problems before they turn into a failure.

How do I request service?

Call (512) 522-9137 or send the request form and choose Service call or repair. Describe the site, the system, and what is wrong.
