Entrance control is chosen where the lobby has to move people and keep them accountable at the same time. We install it as part of the access control system rather than as a separate turnstile contract.

A badge reader on a door tells you a credential was presented, not how many people walked through. Optical speed lanes and turnstiles enforce one person per authorization, which is the difference between a record and a control.
Lobbies have a rush hour
Speed lanes are chosen where throughput at 8:45am decides whether the entrance works. Lane count and lane type follow peak flow, not floor plan aesthetics.
Paired with access control, not beside it
The lane reads the same credentials as your doors and reports to the same platform. Because we install the access control too, the entrance is commissioned as one system.

Common questions
What is the difference between a turnstile and a speed lane?
Turnstiles physically restrict passage and suit secure zones where the priority is that only authorized personnel enter. Optical speed lanes prioritise throughput for busy lobbies while still enforcing one person per credential. Many buildings use both, in different places.
Do turnstiles stop tailgating?
That is their purpose. A credential reader records that a badge was presented; a turnstile or speed lane enforces one authorized passage per credential. Which one fits depends on how hard the enforcement needs to be and how much traffic passes.
Will they work with our existing access control?
Yes. Entrance control reads the same credentials as your doors and reports to the same platform. AK Technologies installs access control across Gallagher, LenelS2, Brivo, Open Options, Avigilon Alta, Feenics, Continental Access, and NAPCO, so the lane is commissioned against whichever platform you run.
