Common questions

Do you support the camera and VMS platform we already run?

Usually. AK Technologies installs and services Eagle Eye Networks, Milestone Systems, Salient Systems, Hanwha Vision, i-PRO, and OpenEye, so an existing system can often be expanded or taken over rather than replaced. Where a platform is genuinely at end of life, we say so instead of selling around it.

Cloud, on-premises, or both?

All three are in normal use. Cloud suits multi-site operations that want centralized management without local servers; on-premises suits sites with bandwidth limits or retention rules that keep footage local; hybrid keeps local recording with cloud management. The right answer follows retention requirements, bandwidth, and who needs access, not a house preference.

Can cameras be tied into access control and intrusion?

Yes, and that is the point of using one integrator. Video tied to access control and intrusion means an alarm arrives with corroboration: a door forced with no badge read is a different event from one with a credential behind it. We install all three, so they are commissioned together rather than handed between vendors.

Do you do license plate recognition?

Yes. License plate recognition captures and logs vehicles at entry points, and is commonly paired with gate and access control at yards, campuses, and fleet facilities.
