Security Technician (Level I–II)
What you'll do
- Install access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems on commercial sites
- Terminate, label, and test devices and panels to AK standards
- Read schematics and device schedules; keep as-builts current
- Work construction sites alongside a lead tech, with direct client contact
What we're looking for
- 6+ months of hands-on low-voltage or security field experience
- Comfortable on ladders and lifts, in mechanical rooms and ceilings
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Brivo, Gallagher, Axis) a plus. We train.
Security Systems Project Manager
What you'll do
- Lead enterprise security deployments from design review through programming, commissioning, acceptance, and closeout
- Own schedules, budgets, quality, and compliance across access control, IP video, intrusion, and integrated low-voltage scopes
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, GCs, and customers; be the primary point of contact
- Run field inspections, punch lists, and commissioning to AKT standards
- Mentor technicians and junior PMs; train crews on installation standards
What we're looking for
- Active PMP required, or equivalent certification (CAPM, PgMP, PRINCE2)
- Proven PM experience on low-voltage and electronic security integration projects
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV/IP video, access control, and intrusion platforms; fire alarm, AV, and PA a plus
- Fluent in construction drawings, riser diagrams, and low-voltage specs and codes
- Heads up: finalists complete a technical evaluation covering programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Lead / Senior AV Technician (Level 2–3)
What you'll do
- Lead installation and commissioning of conference room and enterprise AV systems
- Own quality on AV scopes: audio DSP, video distribution, control programming
- Mentor techs as AK's AV service line grows
What we're looking for
- Advanced hands-on AV integration experience on commercial projects
- Comfortable owning a scope end to end, from rough-in to client training
- AVIXA CTS or manufacturer certifications a plus
